Why use brand ambassadors at exhibitions

It can be very costly to attend an exhibition with very little help from exhibition organisers on preparation and planning for a successful show. Using promotional staff at exhibitions will always help – Let me try and help! Focus on these 4 elements and you will be guaranteed a good profitable show:-

1) Ensure your brand is positioned with standout – its vital to have your exhibition stand designed in such a way that you will stand out from the rest, a couple of popup banners will do you no good in a cluttered environment.

2) Create a space that your customers feel welcome in – remember to make it completely approachable, from the design of your stand to the flow of people, ensure there are no physical barriers to make customers feel separated or alienated from your stand

3) Seize each and every opportunity to engage with your customers – exhibition visitors are not confident to approach you, so make sure you use engaging pro-active staff. Don’t take the chance with office staff that may not be confident. Even sales staff may not be ideal at hooking passers by, If you do use sales staff, ensure they are used for sales and not for qualifying customers. The best possible way of doing this is to use promotional staff to approach customers and ask them if they are interested in the product / service and if they are in the market for your product, this will allow your sales staff to purely focus on qualified customers, maximizing the opportunity to take orders and close sales. 4) Maximize each and every conversation you have! Have a well thought out way of collecting data from customers, whether that be a competition or a bar-code scanner. Activ8 selected as Cafepod Experiential agency

CaféPod, creators of coffee capsules designed for use in Nespresso® machines, have appointed brand experience agency Activ8 to lead sampling activation throughout 2014 in retail environments.

With previous sampling activity handled in house this is a first for the independently owned coffee business. Sampling is key to giving customers the choice of what capsules to purchase.
CaféPod roast and produce premium coffee capsules for the Nespresso system which sell widely in supermarkets, instead of only select boutique outlets. Currently selling in Waitrose, Tesco, Ocado and Amazon, their range of high quality coffee capsules champion convenience and choice for the coffee loving consumer.

Activ8 Live clients include; E&J Gallo Winery, Cadogan, Hammerson, Lidl, Columbia.

Peter Grainger, CEO of CaféPod says;
“We wanted to give consumers a premium coffee capsule that was more convenient to purchase, so consumers can pick up CaféPod capsules as part of their weekly shop rather than online. Securing quality promotional staff during London’s Olympic games

The biggest question we are faced with on a daily basis from clients this year is how can we secure good promotional staff over the Olympics? And the answer is simple, plan and commit. The following points are the most important for ensuring your brand is professionally represented over the Olympics:-

1) Commit to the activity early, this will leave the promotional staffing agency with enough time to contract and secure the best staff before anyone else is able to snatch them up
2) Try to focus your activity on consecutive days, this will be more attractive to staff than sporadic dates
3) Don’t be scared of increasing the amount you are prepared to pay for good promotional staff
4) Consider running activity out of the cluttered activity environment that is London, and look to capitalize in other cities where there should be great opportunities
5) If you are hoping to secure site space, book it NOW!
6) Ask your promotional staffing agency what measures they have taken to ensure they have a good volume of promotional staff, but not just volume they need to ensure quality. (A tip on this is to ask an agency how many staff have applied to work for them in each month and of all applications, what percentage are invited to actually work – if they employ all staff that apply to them, you have to question the quality!) Activ8 delivers Sony call centre

Activ8 – well known for its high quality promotional staff, has been asked by Sony UK to manage its recent trade-in promotion. The basis of the promotion was to offer customers the opportunity to trade in an old television, DVD player etc. For that, they would then receive a discount on the purchase of a new product. At the same time it acted as an incentive to recycle unwanted equipment. The promotion was run in conjunction with the World Cup football in South Africa.

Activ8 solution included designing a dealer portal (Database) which would assist dealers in claiming the discounts given to customers. The database not only allowed claims to be submitted, but also allowed the call centre to be run seamlessly to ensure claims were dealt with in a timeless fashion. It could have been very easy for Sony to get a call centre based in India to manage this process, but the added value that Activ8 offered over and above designing the database, was to ensure staff making calls to Sony customers to confirm claims were personable and engaging.
We all know that people don’t want a cold call from anyone, so it was very important to ensure a professional telephone manner which was instrumental in obtaining a very high percentage of confirmations. With approximately 250 calls made by each call centre operative per day, we managed to make approximatley 10,000 calls per week. A very effective promotion from Sony’s point of view but also very tightly managed claims process’ ensured dealers were reimbursed very quickly.

Activ8 delivers first TV advert!

You may recently have seen the new Homebase advert which includes a makeover of a children’s hospice in Walsall. Well, we are extremely proud to announce that Activ8 managed the entire project and our promotional staff feature right through the advert. This is not only a very proud moment for Activ8, but also illustrates the varied skills of our promotional and operational staff. The makeover was designed by a partner design agency but the planning and delivery was carried out by Activ8.

Over a two day period, we selected furniture from Homebase, completely cleared the Akorn hospice of furniture and stripped walls and floors. We went about installing flooring, painting murals on walls and roofs, replaced lights and installed furniture and fittings to deliver what ended up being an amazing space for the hospice. We are very proud of all the staff that worked on the project – they did an amazing job.
